Let’s face it, having your picture taken is an uncomfortable experience for most people. Unless you are a professional model or actor, you probably have little or no experience in working to the camera, and it feels distinctly unnatural to be put under the microscope in that way. And yet, photographs are some of the most powerful and evocative reminders we have of the people who are most important to us. A great portrait is like a hard copy of a cherished memory, and can often end up being a family heirloom. So… What if you could have pictures taken of yourself and your family by someone that made it easy? Someone who was able to do the work so quickly and efficiently that you never had time to be self-conscious or embarrassed about the process? That’s exactly my approach to shooting portraits. I want to make the technical elements completely transparent to my subjects. I want to shoot in a location that’s meaningful for them, as opposed to a sterile studio. I want to have a session where we can have some fun, share a few laughs, and come away with some honest photographs that capture everyone in a natural and spontaneous way. That doesn’t sound so bad, does it? It can happen…call
me and we can talk about how. |
